Moroccan Pottery - Collecting

In 2003, I went on a trip with my family to Morocco. I didn’t realize how much I would love exploring the labyrinthine bazaars and haggling with the vendors even in the 110 degree heat. I brought a duffle bag just in case. It’s a good thing, because I ended up filling it with unique treasures and I worked really hard for them!

Amidst the wall of blue-patterned plates is a brown plate that was a gift from Bulgaria, some wooden spoons that I bought in Romania, and a small piece from Sushipot. Pictured above are two bowls, my favorite pieces from this memorable trip. They are placed prominently in my kitchen, and I love looking at them everyday. I also use their designs as a source for my paintings.
